Cody Wiegers

Cody Wiegers practices in the areas of education law, labor and employment law, human and civil rights, and all other aspects of civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Cody practiced in Plaintiff’s personal injury work and in a general practice setting where he successfully tried dozens of cases. Cody represents Districts in claims filed in both state and federal court, as well as claims which are pending before various state agencies.

Cody was named a SuperLawyers Rising Star in 2023 and 2024 and is a graduate of the Missouri Bar Leadership Academy. Cody is currently elected to the Young Lawyers’ Section Council of the Missouri Bar and is a Vice Chair to the Missouri Bar’s Access to Justice Committee.

Cody also volunteers with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Kansas City and with the Knights of Columbus. While growing up, Cody’s parents—who are both public educators—instilled a deep sense of the importance of living a life of service. Cody is proud that he now has the privilege to represent public educators like his parents across the region.
